Simply explained
This system is unique at reportage.news! Of what ones knows, but as far as we are concerned, the idea of ranking the uploaded posts via different colourings is that the Blue and Red hearts are counted together and summed as an "allaround score" for the digitalized content. The score rewards thus both popularity and balance:
an even and higher mix of blue and red gives a higher score than only one color. In certain scenarios a lesser amount of total red & blue hearts, but in equal amount from each one, could regenerate more end score than one with more hearts in total but which has imbalances - meaning lesser of one sort than the other. So-called "Heart"-rating is only done on "Latest News". Users can vote twice, ex.: 1 for each, or, just 1 heart.

A mathematical explanation
Let B be blue hearts and R be red hearts.
Total hearts: T = B + R
Balance factor: β = 1 − (B − R) / T
Score incl. rounding: S = ( T × (1 + β) );  r( = ( 2(B + R) - (B - R) )
Perfect balance (B = R) gives the high multiply.

* Here one needs to think in strategic ways to raise the rank, here using the brain and not fast & easy emotions *

Also a detailed explanation
To "Heart-Rate" now was solely an own idea/expression sprouted from the need of more stable, interesting, and fun platforms for e-Books & .txt. Same also in regard of most, if not the whole site aswell-, so no unusual suspicion of us utilizing an AI's interference (more than for grammar checks, or special HTML fine-lining, and so forth) for this smooth surfing experience, or in the understanding of the written.
Thus, this fair rating-system works because "red" shows support and "blue" shows pushback. When a post gets both, it means people are reacting across the spectrum - not just one side. Balanced reactions signal real reach and conversation, so they earn a higher score than one‑sided applause.
